Skydive Alabama is located in Cullman, Alabama, just 1 hour north of Birmingham and 45 minutes south of Hunstville. They are open Fri-Mon but advise calling before you head out. They offer tandem skydives, fun jumps, AFF instruction, as well as events. Every second weekend of the month is $20 lift tickets!
Skydive Alabama maintains a Beechcraft C-99 and sometimes has a Twin Otter for events. They used to fly a Cessna Grand Caravan from Skydive Chicago but that plane is now at Skydive Sebastian.
The drop zone has an 80,000 sq ft. air conditioned facility with indoor bathrooms and showers, with a common area that has couches and TVs available to everyone. The hangar also has heating and A/C!
Skydive Alabama is a USPA certified training center with a dedicated classroom. There is a spectator area and viewing deck, rigging services, gear rental, and a gear store. There are instructors for AFF, packing, canopy courses, coach and AFF ratings, wingsuiting, and even tandem instructor ratings.
And don’t forget about Bamafest in August! This is the premier Alabama boogie with twin turboprop aircraft and often balloon jumps. This event is held every year and has tons of load organizers (which means tons of fun).
